2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ - Countdown
Qatar

This year's FIFA World Cup™ edition is being hosted for only the second time by an Asian country, Qatar, who's bid was approved on December 2nd 2010 by the FIFA Executive Committee in Zurich, at the same time as they've awarded Russia the organization of the 2018 FIFA Wolrd Cup edition. Qatar is the smallest country by area to ever host a football World Cup.

The mascot of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ is a graphic representation of a traditional keffiyeh (headdress) called La'aeeb™, roughly translated as "super skilled". It is presented as a fluid shaped representation of talent and it is in tune with the tournament's official slogan - 'Now is All'.
